Your role

Are you independent and self-driven? Do you have sharp analytic skills? Are you familiar with Wealth Management structures and experienced in Lombard lending?

We are looking for a Credit Risk Officer to:
  • perform due diligence on all relevant risk categories such as counterparty risks, collateral and exposure risks, concentration and liquidity risks, legal & compliance risks to formulate a holistic risk assessment as basis for credit decision
  • approve credit transactions in own authority as well as prepare and submit credit memos for senior management decisions while upholding the risk framework and policies
  • pro-actively manage and steer risks in the assigned portfolio and take adequate risk mitigating measures
  • actively contribute in various change projects and initiatives to enhance and strengthen firm’s service offerings to clients and risk control standards

Your team

You’ll be working in the Credit Risk Control Dedicated Switzerland team in Zurich and play a vital role in independently assessing, reviewing and monitoring credit risks within Global Wealth Management. You will be exposed to an exciting mix of clients, asset classes, portfolio risks, structured products, derivatives, and various other innovative products offered by UBS. Besides Lombard lending the team covers Aircraft Finance for wealthy UBS clients.

Your expertise

  • bachelor or master degree, preferably in accounting or finance, or a completed banking apprenticeship
  • ideally 2+ years of experience as a Credit Risk Officer focusing on Lombard lending while supplementary knowledge in corporate finance is a plus
  • strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills, with good attention to detail
  • ability to deal with complexity and being able to summarize key findings and conclusion both verbally and in writing
  • a confident communicator and collaborator, with strong interpersonal skills
  • fluent in English, other language skills are a plus
