Purpose Of Role

To perform all credit-related tasks in support to the Geneva and Zurich bankers.

Core Accountabilities

For new non-complex loans, renewals, annual reviews and amendments:

Gather all necessary info, data, documents

Direct contact with clients for credit related matters as an when required.

Prepare CPA and obtain approval

Prepare Credit Gateway and obtain approval

Obtain credit documentation and get it signed

Drawdown

Through Life Management

Loans roll over

Margin Calls, recoveries and Close Outs

Excess Reports

Key Targets Include

Pro-activeness in finding solutions

Increase Right First Time for reviews or new cases (for Credit Gateways)

Operational excellence: overdue rate at 0%

Key clients (internal and external)

The role holder will have internal and external clients.

He/she will work in close partnership with Private Bankers and internal functional interactions with Credit Risk, Credit Operations, Legal, Compliance, Treasury and Finance.

The role holder will also be asked to be client facing and participate in client meetings to cover all topics related to credit needs

Role requirements

Professional / Technical Experience

Sound credit knowledge

Good commercial awareness

Expertise in assessing relationship profitability for the bank

Comprehensive understanding of the broad Private Bank

Pro Business at the same time a good rigor on risk and control.

Business Expertise

The role holder will have the skills and experience necessary to drive effective collaboration across all stakeholder communities and within the broader Credit and Investment teams, both at local level and within EMEA. The role holder will also understand how to successfully engage pan cluster to structure and execute optimal client and firm solutions. The role holder will foster an atmosphere of compliance, ensuring that regulations are observed, and will escalate problems to team management if and when identified.

Interpersonal Skills

The role holder will have demonstrable skills in client communication and negotiation, and will be comfortable working and communicating with and influencing bankers and management to enable effective and optimal transaction execution.

Personal attributes

The role requires excellent stakeholder management skills and discipline to prioritise and manage multiple demands & deliverables.

Team player, capable of establishing and developing excellent working relationships across Front Office as well as all support functions.

Academic And Professional Qualifications

The Role will hold a Postgraduate degree with a relevant experience in Financial Industry.

Language skills

Strong command of English (written & verbal communication). Additional languages are a plus.

Risk and Control Objective

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
