Alpiq is expanding, notably in the Digital & Commerce (D&C) business area, and specifically in the area of energy sales and trading. Aside from recruiting talented individuals that can contribute to this growth there is also a strong demand for systems and process improvement. In terms of energy sales, the development of a consolidated, multi-country Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategy is in progress and Salesforce has been selected as the CRM system.

As our new CRM Salesforce Engineer your primary responsibilities will be to manage the CRM systems environment, including configuration and integration changes, and to advise and support the business units in terms of their requirements for the CRM area. You will work closely with other teams from within D&C Technology and the sales teams within D&C and external partners of Alpiq D&C. Alpiq is implementing Salesforce as its preferred CRM system and will migrate all existing CRM systems to the standardized solution across all countries - help us implement this important change! This role can be based in either Paris, Madrid, Milan, Prague or in our Swiss offices in Lausanne or Olten.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Act as the designated subject matter expert for Salesforce and related matters
  • Integrate local/central systems for energy data, pricing, offerings, invoicing and reporting
  • Define requirements/specifications according to business inputs and to recommend broader systems changes driven by CRM requirements
  • Coach/advise the sales/business teams with regards their use of Salesforce and to propose changes to drive business value and to improve business processes
  • Manage external suppliers and contractors in the CRM area
  • Launch the CRM system in different countries and manage migrations from other systems
  • Provide general support and maintenance of the CRM solution


Your Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with Salesforce
  • University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent qualification
  • Proven expertise in management and configuration of Salesforce CRM systems. Preferably knowledge in Vlocity (now Salesforce) application for the energy sector
  • An understanding of sales and customer management processes, preferably from the energy sector
  • Good communications and inter-personal skills, team and goal oriented, analytical and problem-solving skills are highly valued
  • Proficient in English; other language skills are an advantage
