What you will do:
We are looking for an analyst to join our Research Team based in Geneva and work in close cooperation with our trading desks. The Market Analysis team collects, interprets and transmits in real time relevant information and analysis to inform the trading desks, the research team, and the broader Trading & Shipping division of market and fundamental developments of interest.
Reporting to our Crude Analysis Manager, your main missions will be to:

What you will do:
We are looking for an analyst to join our Research Team based in Geneva and work in close cooperation with our trading desks. The Market Analysis team collects, interprets and transmits in real time relevant information and analysis to inform the trading desks, the research team, and the broader Trading & Shipping division of market and fundamental developments of interest.
Reporting to our Crude Analysis Manager, your main missions will be to:
- Aide in the preparation of non-OPEC oil supply forecasts: used by the trading desks and the macro research team.
- Aide in preparation of regional short-term crude balances: used by the trading desks to assess market shorts/lengths, potential trade flow /arbitrage and resulting price actions.
- Disseminate desk analysis: to inform the trading desks, the research team, and the broader TOTSA group in a timely manner of market and fundamental developments of interest (and their potential price implications).
- Respond to ad-hoc trading desk requests for information: in relation to specific market developments, provide relevant information and analysis.
- Maintain / develop data visualisation dashboards and forecasting tools.

Candidate profile
- You hold a Master’s degree in economics, finance, business or a related engineering degree - a specialisation in energy or commodities is an advantage.
- You have at least 2 years of experience with an oil trading company, a consultancy or government agency where you developed strong numerical and analytical skills to process large amounts of information and data.
- You have strong drafting, communication and presentational skills in English with an emphasis on synthesis and succinctness.
- You are proficient in either Bloomberg or Reuters Eikon terminal.
- You do have strong knowledge of Microsoft office suite and Power BI, and programming skills in Python. Knowledge of SQL would be considered as an advantage.
