In a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electronic, hearing technology and audiology engineers, we are looking for a specialist with a passion for the development of new customer-specific products and their configuration. Our individually manufactured custom products are diverse and have many configurable options and functions for our customers. Another objective for this position will be to keep the complexity of our production systems at an efficient level or to reduce them through optimizations. An interest in systemic, logistical processes is advantageous for this position.

Your tasks
  • Configuration of new custom products and maintaining existing configurations for all brands within Sonova
  • Structure and implement new codes for new custom products (Master Code List) and realization of phase-outs for work order codes on a regular basis
  • Lead of industrialization and improvement (PLE) projects within custom products, and account for part approval (ISIR) in custom product improvement projects
  • Ensures the availability of all part numbers of a new In-the-Ear device as well as for new Sound Delivery System (SDS) and Hearing Protection Device (HPD)
  • Create MasterBOMs and configuration documents to ensure all systems (SAP, DWOM, RSM, Pro&Go) are configured correctly, and maintain existing MasterBOMs
  • Realization of configuration matrix for the group companies
  • Support NPI by creation of parts lists, routings, BOM3 / 5 and work instructions

Your profile
  • Higher education as engineer (FH, HF, University)
  • 3+ years’ experience in custom products configuration and manufacturing
  • Established know-how in Excel and SAP or other ERP systems
  • Self-motivated and proactive personality, which is able to take accountability
  • Initiative as well as a structured and careful way of working
  • Good communication skills in English and willing to work in an interdisciplinary team
