We are looking for a project controller (all gender) for the corporate team.

As a project controller you are at the heart of our business. You are the sparring partner to the project managers as well as business units to achieve the set targets and company results. You are the guardian of top-quality aspirations regarding financial project reporting worldwide. Overall customer projects are the main driver for the company’s Group performance.

Tasks

• Actively report Monthly Projects Financials Portfolio to the Management in all business units
• Standardize monthly project reporting to strive for high quality and act as its guardian
• Enhance financial transparency, accuracy and improve project performances
• Ensure the accuracy of data across the various applications involved in the reporting process
• Improve and implement standardized guidelines for all Buhler Businesses and Legal entities
• Provide guidance and expertise to operational project teams for successful closings
• Ensure technical support to operational teams (Project Execution Platform, SAP ERP, SAP Business Warehouse and SAP Business Objects)
• Be strongly involved in developing tools and processes in collaboration with IT, project execution and finance functions to secure continuous improvement.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and reports on customer projects for various stakeholders including Top Management
• Support Operations Project Controllers and Project Managers in their daily activities, including increase of data quality
• Contribute to initiatives, increase knowledge on a global basis
• Support project controllers in increasing the Forecast accuracy, by maintaining project data, for example project milestones
• Active involvement and initiation of group initiatives to support and improve the customer-to-customer process (C2C).
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from an accredited university or college
• At least 5 years of work experience in accounting and/or controlling departments, preferably in project controlling
• Advanced knowledge in all IT matters, specifically MS Excel, SAP ERP, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Warehouse and SAP Business Objects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Accurate, detail oriented and yet keeping the ‘big picture’
• Ability to simplify complex financial information into useable Management presentations and communications
• Flexible in working more hours during closing periods
• Ability to work in cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural teams
• Strong teamworking, communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly independent and self-motivated
• Fluent in English
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Open to move into new business areas and to working abroad, after 2-3 years
• Solid, grounded accounting know-how
• Fluent in German
