Are you an established cyber security professional fascinated by making an impact in the world of cyber detection by leveraging the latest artificial intelligence technologies as well as statistical approaches?

Are you excited by the possibility to solve practical cyber security relevant problems using state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and big data methodology?

Are you innovative, analytical, and deeply motivated by the fascinating and bound to grow world of cyber security?

Are you willing to play an active role within our worldwide UBS Cyber Defence environment?

We are looking for such a person to:
  • develop and enhance advanced cyber detection models based on state-of-the-art artificial intelligence as well as statistical techniques
  • detect not only potentially malicious activities within the UBS IT infrastructure but also technically complex cyber-attacks in early phases of attack lifecycle
  • use the latest big data technologies for models to evolve on our daily growing multi-terabytes cyber data lake
  • apply the latest software engineering techniques to reach full model automation and integration within our 24/7 fully robotized Security Analytics platform (SECA)
  • collaborate within the broader Cyber Security Advanced Detection team to apply artificial intelligence techniques to in-house available tools
  • work on the generation of security-relevant datasets to support the training of artificial intelligence models as well as our model testing framework (for example by simulating known attacks)
Description du profil

  • experience in the field of Cyber Security and willingness to develop in a role as a machine learning engineer. Ideally some experience in the field of Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence
  • at least a bachelor degree in a quantitative, scientific or technological area (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, …)
  • at least 3 years of practical experience in information security (research, threat hunting, CTI, SOC, SOC automation,…) and demonstrable respective know-how, ideally through security certifications
  • programming skills in Python and ideally practical experience with at least one of its mainstream deep learning frameworks (Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills when dealing with complex issues and the ability to take personal ownership and drive remediation
  • ideally some practical knowledge and/or interest in Machine Learning, Statistics, Big Data technologies

  • fluent in English with the ability to describe complex concepts and technologies with simple explanations
