CONTEXT & MISSION:

We are looking for a highly motivated Data Engineer to join our Referentials team in Geneva!

With the development of new ways of selling (e-commerce, marketplaces, client-telling, direct-selling, etc.) in the past years, Referentials are now key parts of L’OCCITANE Group’s architecture. In order to accelerate their deployment on different markets and channels, we need to strengthen our Referentials domain and are looking for you! In this role, you will have a specific focus around customer data to support the "customer centric" strategy of the L’OCCITANE Group by:

  • Enriching and amplifying our relationship with our customers;
  • Using our data for a better marketing;
  • Offering services to our customers;
  • Establishing a sustainable relationship with our customers;
  • Enhancing the customer journey and experience online, offline and omni-channel.



Having trusted, up-to-date and complete Referentials for customer, product and store is key to share reliable information regarding our products, offer more relevant content to our customers, and share trusted data regarding our stores. It is also key to improve the relationship with our customers, and accelerate the time to market of new applications.



To support this transformation and development, you will have a significant role in the Referentials ecosystem, creating and maintaining efficient data flows and repositories between the different platforms, and providing the solution to discover and consume these data.



You will work with various teams in a worldwide context (America, Asia, Europe, Japan).



MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:

Applicable to all domains (Customer, Product, Store):

  • Be involved in activities from End to End (lead data modeling, data standardization, data cleanup, data migration/conversion, software configurations, user-acceptance testing, deployments from development through production environments and training);
  • Identify and report opportunities to gain efficiencies, automate, and improve data quality;
  • Understand data governance and actively engage in continuous process improvement;
  • Review, standardize and identify gaps in product information and processes. Coordinate activities to address issues with stakeholders across the organization;
  • Responsible to maintain the Referentials production (flows, databases, platforms) to allow business continuity in the different regions;
  • In charge of the maintenance and run activities: monitoring, optimization, troubleshooting.



Customer Master Data:

  • Referent and technical expert (development and operations) of the solution which is central in the L’OCCITANE Information System for the propagation of customer data on the different channels;
  • In charge of the solution roll-out in the different main markets (all around the world and brands of the Group, working in good coordination with the different teams (regional and central, IT and business) involved with the use of customer data (CRM, Retail, Digital);
  • Propose and develop valuable services around the Customer Master Data to support business needs and initiatives: data steward, data enrichment and quality, real-time analysis capability;
  • Ensure the security of customer data to ensure compliance with GDPR regulations in coordination with the legal and security teams;
  • Collect and continuously enrich the data is essential for the knowledge of our customers: your role r will be to both set up and maintain all the pipelines supplying the Customer Master Data with heterogeneous exchange formats, to manage interactions with the datalake: structured, unstructured, Json / XML, real-time API in coordination with ESB and APIm teams, as well as those responsible for source solutions.



Other Referentials (Products, Stores):

  • Participate to the implementation (design, configuration, and deployment of the PIM (product referential) and our future store referential solution
  • Manage the integration of PIM with other internal and external systems to improve processes and efficiencies.



HOW YOU CAN FIT:

  • Master in Computer Engineering or equivalent;
  • 5+ years’ experience on data projects;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Expertise in SQL: ideally on Microsoft SQL server;
  • Very good understanding of data management (modeling, flow, risk evaluation, business understanding, data performance optimization) in a multiplatform database environment (RDBMS, Graph Database, Snowflake);
  • Very good knowledge of an ETL: ideally Microsoft SSIS, and ability to develop on several different ETL solutions (Talend, Precisely Spectrum);
  • Knowledge of Windows and network systems administration;
  • MDM Solution experience, ideally for customer referential;
  • Experience and knowledge in REST API development (Json / XML);
  • Experience and knowledge in object oriented programming languages ideally Groovy and C#;
  • Experience and at ease in production environment;
  • Experience with the Azure Cloud environment and in CRM (especially with Adobe Campaign) would be a plus;
  • Strong business analysis and problem solving skills;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to be agile in supporting business partners;
  • Proactive, pragmatic, organized and able to work in parallel on several projects with an ability to prioritize;
  • Ability to work in a complex and constantly changing environment.
