We are looking for a sharp, energetic and organized Data Lifecycle Manager to join the Climate Risk Center team in Zurich. Your key responsibilities

  • Take charge of critical data-based business processes
  • Develop and initiate data science practices for researchers developing models and climate data
  • Maintain an overview of how our data is sourced, utilized, and distributed, responsible for data governance practices
  • Enable researchers to create content for clients through power bi and other data visualization platforms
  • Work as a liaison between the Climate Risk Center and MSCI’s in-house development team
  • Work closely with domain experts in climate and finance, data scientists and software engineers
  • Communicate complex topics to internal and external stakeholders
  • Anticipate problems/opportunities and adapt to new challenges
  • Define data flows and data processes.
  • Managing a small team

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • 4 years + of experience as a business/data analyst or project manager
  • Experience in taking ownership of complex business processes
  • Knowledge or experience in data management including data governance, metadata management, data dictionary, data lineage, data quality management, data modelling
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • Fast learner and strong logical thinker
  • Flexible to adapt to new challenges
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a multi-cultural and geographically distributed team
  • Self-motivated, pro-active and demonstrating an exceptional drive towards delivery
  • Experience in Python, experience with the data lake technology is a plus
