Your team

Drive, supervise and enforce Pictet AM data protection activities to ensure that the organisation is compliant with personal data protection laws and regulations. Acting independently, you will be called upon to inform, train and advise the business line and coordinate personal data protection compliance through cross-team governance across geographies/regions and legal entities. Another of your tasks will be to cooperate with and act as a contact point for data protection authorities.

Your role

  • Acting as Data Protection Officer for all Pictet AM entities across the world and fostering a personal data protection culture within the organisation.
  • Enabling compliance with and driving the implementation of essential elements of personal data protection laws and regulations across Pictet AM.
  • Ensuring that a comprehensive regulatory watch is in place for all Pictet AM offices (Europe, North America and Asia).
  • Taking an active role in all projects that involve personal data to ensure that they are implemented in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Advising on related topics such as outsourcing/cloud- and draft-related agreements, when required.
  • Cooperating with and serving as the primary point of contact for supervisory authorities and data subjects.
  • Coordinating data protection initiatives with the Pictet Group Data Protection Officer.

Your profile

  • University degree in Law.
  • At least five years’ experience in a similar function.
  • A legal, compliance, IT security, operational officer or audit background.
  • In-depth knowledge of data privacy, personal data protection and outsourcing/cloud laws and regulations.
  • Good knowledge of the finance industry, ideally of asset management and investment funds.
  • Extensive experience with and knowledge of personal data protection, including related certifications (e.g. CAS and IAPP).
  • Extensive experience of projects, project management and a project-oriented work environment.
  • Sufficient knowledge of information technology and data management systems.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of French and English (written and oral).
  • Skilled user of standard IT applications (MS Office).
  • Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.

As the successful candidate, you will able to carry out the role independently, showing integrity and a keen sense of professional ethics. In addition, you will be able to exercise leadership and influence change across different teams as well as interacting effectively with people at all levels in the organisation. Another of your roles will be to explain technical subject matter in layman’s terms for non-specialists when this is required. You will also have a pragmatic approach to solving problems and strong business acumen as well as a solution/result and technology-oriented mindset.
