Data Science in Aerosol Research

We’re looking for you:

• Currently studying for your Master degree in Data/Computational Science or Physics
• Curiosity to understand the background of data in collaboration with a team of scientists
• Good programming skills preferably in python or C++
• Hands on experience with data modelling and machine learning algorithms
• Experience with data management and data transformation tools
• Practical experience with BI softwares (powerBI) is a plus
• Fluent in English

You will join Aerosol Science team with the focus on innovative tools and projects applicable to research and development of reduced risk products (RRPs). The team is combining state of the art measurement tools with computational models in order to understand the physics and chemistry related aerosol phenomena.

Roles & Objectives
In this internship project, you will focus on:

• Developing data management pipelines suitable for structuring and sharing of data
• Applying various machine learning models to the available data and evaluation of the models accuracy with appropriate metrics
• Resolving data patterns using clustering based models
• Documentation and report of the models and codes in the form of scripts and technical documents
• Preparing update presentations for interim and final reports
