Job Description

800+ Oncology Medical Affairs (OMA) clinical trials are running world-wide to improve clinical outcomes and bring next generation drugs to patients and society. OMA Associates are working across geographies with a shared purpose to bring the most innovative treatment solutions to our patients and caregivers.

Timing: March 2022 (expected start date)

Duration: 6-8 months

Your responsibilities:
  • Apply state of the art machine learning/deep learning algorithms with real world data such as insurance claims, electronic medical records (EMR), registries, etc.,
  • Perform various steps in ML/DL modeling including data preparation, EDA, model building, interpretation of results and sharing results with business stockholders
  • Create data visualizations for end-users
  • Work collaboratively with Data Scientists, RWE scientists, Data Engineers, and other internal business stockholders to identify opportunities/ use cases

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Education: Pursuing Masters/PhD in statistics/biostatistics, epidemiology, bioinformatics, computer science, computational biology, mathematics, data science or any other quantitative science field
  • Languages: Proficient in English
  • Experience/Professional requirements:
  • Experience in statistical programming languages R and/or Python, SQL, others
  • Experience/knowledge in Machine Learning/ Deep Learning algorithms/ causal inference
  • Experience/knowledge in Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC), Hidden Markov models and optimizations of models would be a plus
  • Experience with data science and data visualization packages/libraries
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply in practice new data & analytic concepts and approaches
  • Experience/knowledge with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, etc.,)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with others
