Join us as a Data Technology Engineer to a team that is building Data Lake and Data Streaming Platform using market leading cloud technologies! Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing robust data pipelines with built-in data quality checks. This position will give you an opportunity to expand your existing skillset as a Data Engineer and develop new skills.

Your future colleagues

Our GOS Data Technologies team has expertise in areas of Change Data Capture tools, Streaming Data using Confluent Kafka, Big Data Technologies - HDFS, HIVE, Impala, Snowflake and cloud technologies. The team works in the areas of Engineering Support, Client Onboarding to these platforms and Platform Ownership, Spring based microservice development and use Agile Methodologies for Delivery.

Your skills and experience

Proven work experience as Data Engineer working with a big data application is required. With the following skills you will be successful in this position
  • Degree or higher education in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
  • You have experience handling software across a variety of functions and groups (Engineer, solution architect etc.) within an agile project framework
  • You have deep knowledge in rolling out the following components Confluent Kafka, Kafka Connect, BigData – HDFS, HIVE, Impala
  • Preferably have Experience in Snowflake or other Cloud based solutions and Cloud Platforms
  • Experience in Java, SpringBoot, Angular, Spark, Python is a plus
  • Experience in designing and implementing applications using micro-service architectures is a plus
  • Experienced in Oracle, PL/SQL, Unix and Shell scripting
  • You have strong analytical skills and you are a creative thinker
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English enable you to build lasting relationships
