Associate Product Manager Labwerx – 80-100%

What you will do

This role is an ideal entry position to build hands-on expertise in Product Management and start your career in Life Science & Diagnostic industry. You provide support to the Labwerx department and Life Science Business product management teams and drive various projects such as marketing campaigns, new product ideas & development, packaging & branding, sales training & strategy, pricing, sales and margin analysis, marketing collateral and ensure our product quality. Labwerx is an exciting unit within Tecan that deals exclusively with high-end custom automation made on-demand for end customers.

Responsibilities will include

• Responsible for Labwerx external marketing definition & delivery
• Responsible for leveraging custom modules and systems to further sales & opportunities
• Responsible for some products within our portfolio during or after an introduction phase
• Support the establishment of global marketing plan and its execution
• Support and drive ad-hoc analysis
• Drive and support voice of the customers as well as monitor competition and support in pricing analysis
• Drive product management projects (e.g. packaging, collateral, fairs,…)
• Support to drive the product roadmap and its execution (incl. market launch)
• Explore new business ideas and build business cases (incl. NPV, project plans)
• Interact and coordinate activities with various stakeholders such as R&D, operations, quality, regulatory, inside sales, and product management of instruments
• Manage day to day activities such as sales support for the local country activities, support forecasting
• Travel to visit customers & suppliers and for trade fairs & congresses. (10%– 20%)

What you bring along

• Master degree or post graduate certification in Life Science (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry preferred)
• Work experience in a life science research or diagnostics laboratory (e.g. as part of Master thesis) is a plus - with a minimum work experience of 2 year (in Life Science, diagnostic industry)
• Willingness to learn and fast thinker, strong process orientation and problem solving skills
• Ability and experience to effectively interact with executives, senior leaders and with customers
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent English, German or another language is a plus
• Willingness to travel 10-20%
