Business Development Manager, OEM Components EMEA 80-100%

What you will do

In this challenging role within our Partnering Business (PB) division you are responsible for finding and engaging with new prospects as well as assigned customers for the purpose of identifying new OEM project opportunities. You will engage with these accounts with the goal of winning new business and driving profitable growth within the entire EMEA region.


Responsibilities will include

  • Serve as a representative of our PB Components (Cavro) business and operate with integrity and honesty in all business contacts
  • Work closely with other areas of the Tecan team to create synergies across the business by developing and executing key account strategies
  • Convert customer needs into sales by applying your consultative component integration sales skills and your knowledge of accounts and products
  • Develop and actively maintain our CRM database
  • Negotiate and administer contracts in conjunction with the sales and marketing leadership
  • Participate in local, regional and national shows
  • Work with internal stakeholders to define technical portfolio gaps and assist with various marketing activities to drive innovation

What you bring along

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business or Biology
  • Proven track record with a minimum of 5 years field sales experience in B2B sales. Preferably in OEM IVD, medical devices, or design services market.
  • Have an aptitude for and understanding of Electrical, Mechanical assemblies and Software.
  • Have working knowledge of instrumentation design and development process.
  • Be technical and inquisitive, ready to learn new things and be able to effectively communicate highly technical material to other industry professionals.
  • Fluent in English, any other language is of advantage
