In this role, you will be spearheading the development of digital service products of our Mining, Aluminium and Cement product group, targeting a technically consolidated solution portfolio with high customer value. While being a part of global R&D organization, you will be the main interface towards product managers in charge of digital service and you will support the implementation of value generation strategies into the digital service portfolio.

Reporting to the Team Manager, you will be an active part of the Ability and Digital team in our Product Innovation and Technology department. You will use your technical knowledge and communication skills to ensure clear technical roadmap for service solutions and enable efficient SW development.

Your responsibilities

• Translating strategic roadmaps into technical product features, utilizing the digital platform landscape of ABB and consolidating technical solutions over various product lines
• Acting globally and interacting with number of products, product managers, technology managers, digital platform architects, UI/UX experts
• Collaborating with R&D teams to jointly drive proof of concepts (POCs) and pilots
• Leading development of SW solutions components, acting as a product owner
• Monitoring and communicating technical risks and proposing mitigation strategies
• Supporting knowledge exchange with Service Operations and Sales organizations
  

Your background

• Strong hands-on experience in large scale SW product development, preferably in industrial environment, with minimum 5 years of active contribution as a software developer
• Detailed real-world experience in agile SW development environment; a Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus
• Sound knowledge of different cloud provider services (Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Familiarity with SQL and noSQL databases and data modelling
• Knowledge in edge and cloud computing technologies: scalable cloud solution architectures using architectural design patterns, serverless technologies, PaaS components, container orchestration, identity management and application security
• Experience in technical leadership roles and stakeholder management
• A solution-focused approach, ability to structure complex topics and strong written and spoken communication skills addressing diverse groups
• A Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or Engineering, or equivalent qualification
• English language proficiency, other languages are an added advantage
