Within SIG, SIG allCap Ltd. is responsible for the worldwide production of innovative plastic closures for carton beverage cartons. At the Neuhausen plant, the company produces around one third of its annual requirement itself. Production is carried out in large series on high-performance injection moulding production systems.

To complete our Global Quality Management Spouts team in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, we are looking for a Global System Expert Spouts (m/f/d)

The job holder will be a key member of the global quality team for closure solutions, located in Neuhausen, with significant interaction across the various production sites and between the Global Market, Region and Quality functions of the SIG Group.

The aim is to improve the quality of the spouts through root cause analysis from design through production to the system.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
  • Key role to cover customer expectations in solving spouts related problems
  • Owner of raw material qualification and Functional System VerificcationTests
  • Standarde and improve regional knowledge of the Spout related SIG system
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Fulfil customer expectations in resolving technical or design issues related to spouts
  • Lead and support the global problem solving process with A3 reports in case of critical or recurring failures and root cause analysis.
  • Handle global customer complaints and support SIG regions
  • Review design, process, functional, applications and system requirements
  • Responsible for the qualification of raw materials
  • Support qualification and approval processes at and for suppliers
  • Apply lean management and introduce improvements through CIS and Six Sigma methods
  • Standardisation and continuous improvement of quality documents and processes
  • Train relevant colleagues in the SIG regions on pouring system issues
YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
  • Technical education preferably with a specialisation in polymer processing
  • Engineering degree (mechanical, food or automation)
  • Several years of practical experience in closure applications or systems, on-site service, closure design, injection moulding and problem solving, ideally with knowledge of food industry requirements
  • Strong ability to apply and train in problem solving techniques
  • Experience with Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Ability to implement projects in a targeted manner
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
