Our GM Europe Customer Experience & Connectivity Team is seeking a Head of CX Design Group – Europe to serve as the primary design thought leader in the execution of D2C experiences across a range of channels. Our studio creates customer-facing digital experiences across multiple brands and platforms, touching millions of lives across retail, in-vehicle, web, mobile, and wearable interfaces.

As the Head of CX Design Group for Europe, you will work collaboratively with design leadership, a multi-disciplinary design team, agency partners, technologists, and business stakeholders to define, design, and deliver compelling and effective user experiences for D2C. As an adept leader, you will be tasked with accurately assessing the capabilities and strengths of team members, assisting in the establishment of quality standards for our work, identifying individual and team-level goals, people management, and skills development to ensure a world-class digital design team. It will be your responsibility to ensure the experiences meet customer expectations while facilitating cross-product and cross-brand cohesion. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering successful digital products in either client and agency environments, an understanding of human-centered design methods, and a knack for communicating a vision to enable high-performing creative teams.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the GM design lead for Europe D2C by setting the tone and working with technical, marketing, and agency partners to drive human-centered design decision-making across a number of platforms and programs
  • Define and direct the process for evolving D2C over time, optimizing presentation and functional behavior to meet customer needs
  • Leverage existing and emerging design systems to create cohesive cross-channel D2C experiences for entire product portfolio
  • Collaborate with design leadership to define operating standards for our studio and lead the continuous improvement of processes and outcomes in a rapidly evolving corporate environment
  • Manage and grow a team of product/user experience designers to define, design, and deliver D2C experiences for retail, in-vehicle, web, mobile, and wearable interfaces
Additional Job Description

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams that create user interfaces, digital products, or complex software applications across a range of channels
  • Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Product Design, IT, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related discipline
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering successful eCommerce experiences
  • Strong understanding of user experience expectations in / across the European markets
  • Strong portfolio with work samples showcasing expertise in user experience design, creativity, and depth of thought
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale with clarity and objectivity; experience presenting to diverse audiences including senior leadership
  • Solid understanding of the user experience design process, SCRUM / Agile methodologies, and software development lifecycles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in HCI, Product Design, IT, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related discipline
