As a preferred supplier for Tecan Group AG in Männedorf, we are looking for an individual as IT Operations Engineer(permanent employment, 80-100%). The earliest start date is as soon as possible. Home office possible up to 40% per week.

Description of the mission

  • Acting as an IT Service Desk champion diagnosing and resolving technical challenges related but not limited to Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems (Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix
  • Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
  • Maintenance (installation, testing and configuration) of client hardware, software and IT equipment according to company standards, policies and procedures
  • User account and permission administration
  • Collecting, analyzing and reporting issues to system engineering team for escalations
  • Expert knowhow (administration, maintenance and ideally configuration) of Matrix42 or similar including knowledge database design and implementation
  • Carrying out Ad-hoc end-user support activities as required demonstrating strong capability prioritizing and resolving business critical service requests
  • Customer centric attitude with strong communication ability: keeping customers informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages while improving customer’s perception and satisfaction
  • Active participation in standard IT client hardware management

Required profile

  • IT education (e.g. Informatik Fachrichtung Systemtechnik)
  • MCSE certificate or equivalent would be beneficial
  • Minimum of 5 years IT support experience
  • Experience in MS Client Applications and MS Operating Systems
  • Experience in a Desktop Client and Mobile Device environment
  • Experience with MS Exchange Server and Active Directory
  • Service oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Capable of diagnosing technical issues while multi-tasking and adapting to changes quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills such as: telephony skills, communication skills, teamwork active listening and customer-care
  • Good oral and written English skills, German is a plus
  • Ability to share knowledge, mentor and guide junior colleagues
