For the enhancement of our local operations team in Geneva or Pully we are currently looking for a:

NETWORK ENGINEER 100% (M/W)

Responsibilities

• Design templates, deploy and support of network side customer access equipment
• Speak to customers via email and phone for 3rd level support and initial requirement capture for prospect or new installations
• Support and administer internal and customers firewall environments in line with IT security policy
• Design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment
• Maximise network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation
• Provide remote troubleshooting and fault-finding during installation or during production
• Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
• Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
• Configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls
• Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation or fault management
• Liaise with project management teams and service desk engineers on a regular basis
• Support projects pre-sales team on customer solutions design
• Off-hour on duty activity
  
  

Expected Profile

• Ready to work with internal and external customers in collaboration with the customer project management office
• Experience with operations of internal network infrastructure from a service provider perspective
• Knowledge of service provider and enterprise related technologies: xDSL, WAN/LAN/Datacenter routing and switching protocols, MPLS-VPN, Firewalls
  
  

Your Personal Skills

• Experience with Cisco equipment (Cisco CCNA a plus)
• Experience with Internet related technologies (MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS)
• Experience with WAN/LAN protocols (Routing, Ethernet/Switching, VLAN, SDN)
• Knowledge of DSL technologies, specific knowledge of Alcatel DSLAM would be a plus
• Rigorous, methodical, ability for reporting, customer-oriented approach
• Documentation skills
• Organisation, ability to cope with various tasks and priorities
• Open minded, capable of proposing innovative solutions
• Fluent in French, English, German would be a plus
