Job description

The Oracle service manager will work in the IT Infrastructure & System division of Swatch Group Services LTD, particularly in the PaaS & Orchestration department. We are looking for an expert in Oracle & Linux DB administration, service management and will be the main reference @ITSI level, working closely with the DBAs in the operations team.


Your responsibilities

  • Fulfill Service Manager role for Oracle and Linux DB – make sure that the service runs and performs in all aspects (service design, capacity, performance, operations, engineering, …)
  • Engineer/upgrade hosting environment (ODA, virtualization, middleware)
  • Provide 3rd level support and assist in solution design for customers
  • Manage lifecycle of all Oracle instances
  • Ensure system up-time according the service level agreement (SLA)
  • Train operations team to perform standard Oracle operations
  • Manage partners & suppliers
  • Business process understanding
  • Follow the development of Oracle

Profile

  • Professional Experience of Oracle database technologies (ODA, 12c, 19c, backup/restore, access control, grid-control, dataguard)
  • Professional Experience of Linux DB (MariaDB)
  • Founded UNIX (Suse, RHEL) knowledge
  • Knowledge of MS SQL and MS Windows is a plus
  • Demonstrated initiative, customer orientation and team work competencies
  • Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people
  • Ability to work under pressure and with limited supervision
  • Structured, systematic and analytical approach
  • Willingness to keep learning

Professional requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Oracle valid certification

Languages

  • Fluency in French is required (spoken and written), as well as excellent knowledge in English
  • German is a plus
