Quality Engineer Labwerx 80%

What you will do
In this exciting role, you assure that Tecan products sold in the responsible area are in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. You will work closely with Labwerx, our customized laboratory automation business, to understand critical to quality design characteristics / specifications; and perform QA review & release of all custom hardware, sub-project, and project DHF documentation.


Responsibilities will include

  • Support and execute registrations for Tecan customized laboratory automation business projects
  • Ensure that the project documentation meets all requirements in regards of quality, regulatory and process conformity
  • Provide mechanical engineering input for specification development, design drawings, and testing protocol
  • Support projects to ensure regulatory compliance with external standards and internal processes
  • Risk Management: perform safety risk assessment activities for MU customized instrument modification
  • Conducts supplier and internal audits
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining an ISO 13485 certified quality system
  • Multi-task on a variety of Quality System improvement initiatives in a hands-on dynamic environment

What you bring along

  • Bachelor in biochemistry, medical, pharmaceutical or relevant technical science
  • Working experience or further education courses in QA & RA- and process management of advantage
  • Work experience in a life science research or diagnostics laboratory is a plus
  • Proven track record with ISO 13485/ISO 9001 required, IVDR is a plus
  • Fluent in English and German, any other language is of advantage
  • Strong communicator with a solution and team-oriented mindset
