The Laundry Care laboratories, Perfumery Division have the mission of testing fragrances in application as well as developing new fragrance technologies.

For the Fabric Enhancers and Analytical Development laboratory we are looking for a

Scientist – Perfumery Division

Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Category Technical Director, the candidate will have the following tasks:

Develop and deploy perfume design tools for laundry applications, combining analytical, sensory and modeling data; work together with the relevant Research & perfume Development teams, to generate tools to optimize fragrance performance

Optimize or develop new analytical methods to measure fragrance deposition and release on different fabrics for the technologies & applications under study; use a creative, goal-oriented approach to deliver results

Provide technical support to the briefing process (Fragrance Development Managers, perfumers, sales teams) and handle trouble-shooting issues such as perfume decomposition, coloration or viscosity changes

Report and present results internally, within the technical / development global community and to selected external clients. Ensure technology watch in the field of fragrance in laundry applications.

Profile:
PhD degree in Physical Chemistry or Chemistry with 2-3 years work experience, or a MA degree with 3-5 years work experience

Experience in programming and/or big data treatment

Knowledge of analytical chemistry, in particular GC-MS and LC-MS or LC-MS-MS

Experience in laundry care formulations and fragrances is a plus

Team spirit, creative thinking, independence, open minded, entrepreneur and good communication skills

Fluent in English, written and spoken
