Senior Financial Accountant 80-100%

What you will do

In this challenging and important role you are responsible for maintaining the General Ledger. You will also ensure an efficient creditor and debtor management for all swiss companies.


Responsibilities will include

  • Maintaining the General Ledger of the assigned companies in SAP
  • Conducting all periodical closes (monthly, annual) according to IFRS
  • Analysis of the monthly close incl. variance analysis
  • Processing the accounts-payable and accounts-receivable accounting and ensuring an efficient creditor and debtor management
  • Preparing periodic VAT declarations (CH, DE, AT) and Intrastat reports
  • Working together with the treasury manager and cost center owners
  • Prepare year-end income tax return
  • Contact person for our internal and external auditors
  • Supporting the team in checking travel expenses and booking of vendor invoices.
  • Pro-active monitoring and controlling of outstanding invoices and critical accounts
  • Performing intercompany reconciliations
  • Reporting the financial results in our Group reporting system Cognos

What you bring along

  • Education in Finance and Accounting (Fachausweis in Finanz- und Rechnungswesen is beneficial)
  • Proven work experience in preparing financial closes and profound knowledge of SAP R3 (FI/CO) are must have requirements for this role
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Very good analytical skills / Accurate, detail and deadline-oriented
  • Very good team player with pro-active mindset
  • Previous Cognos and SAP BW experience is a plus
