Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

In our global AutoChem business unit, we develop synthesis, sampling and reaction analysis tools for scientists in pharmaceutical and chemical industries. We provide scientists the information they need to deliver life-changing products. Join our R&D Organization at our global operational headquarters in Nänikon-Greifensee and support the fast growing business opportunity within our unit as a: Software Requirements Engineer 100% (f/m/d)

We are looking for someone who loves science and technology and can provide the expertise needed to capture key use cases for software requirements of our next generation AutoChem software products.

In this role, your will be responsible for the following tasks
  • Creates and defines system requirements, system specifications and user interactions with the system
  • Obtains inputs from internal or external sources and integrates inputs into product requirements to achieve engineering goals. Coordinates requirement clarification activities with team members
  • Provides input on product requirements and translates product requirements into component or Subsystem Specifications
  • Leads requirement verification and validation process, with good understanding for system level design, development and testing to assess performance against design specification
  • Trains other product owners or requirement engineers on the defined requirement engineering processes and helps drive and contribute to continuous improvement of these processes
  • Documents and manages requirement changes, including change request justification
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science or closely related disciplines
  • Ideally 2-3 years of relevant work experience in product development or within a similar industry
  • Excellent understanding of the software lifecycle
  • Good understanding of Use Case 2.0 method and use case modelling experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex system analysis and requirement specifications
  • Strong experience in agile software development and development tools on DevOps
  • Knowledge in regulations such as Quality Management System and 21 CFR part 11 or GxP would be an asset
  • Strong team player who can work independently
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally, up to 10% travel is anticipated
  • English is a must, German a plus
