We have an immediate opening for our EMEA Headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland for a:

Demand Planner

About the role

In this role you’ll be responsible for the sales forecasting of an assigned region/product category in coordination with the Sales and Marketing teams, and the Demand Planning Manager. The role also provides support to the Finance Planning & Analysis team, mainly for budget preparation and quarterly revenue reforecast.

What you’ll do in the role

Demand Planning:

  • Monitor and analyze product level forecasts and make adjustments in agreement with Sales Managers and in coordination with customers. Develop forecasts by analyzing historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, customer sell-out, customer projections.
  • Develop a strong relationship with Account Managers/customers, provide support in building the demand plan.
  • Meet regularly with Sales, Supply Planning & Customer Service to execute the demand plan, discuss issues and opportunities and be pro-active in order to meet sales and range targets.
  • Actively participate in monthly demand reviews. Support S&OP process by discussing and reviewing forecasts with Sales during demand reviews.
  • Challenge forecasts based on historical sales and market conditions.
  • Validate, enter, review forecasts in the system (Demantra/Oracle) and work on forecast scenarios to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Continuously achieve demand planning accuracy improvement. Meet demand planning KPIs.
  • Work with the Marketing Department in order to identify possible deletions or additions to range. Get involved in product launches and product changes. Drive product changes and additions in the forecasting system.
  • Prepare reports for Management and Sales Managers to enable and facilitate monthly forecast freeze/lock in volume and value. Maintain 12 month rolling forecast.
  • Drive the S&OP process jointly with the Supply Planner and engage with internal functions to further develop it.

Assist FP&A during AOP and budget updates:

  • Update sales projections in reporting systems (prepare input in Demantra for data transfer to Hyperion)
  • Run reports and prepare summaries.

What will help you do the job well

Essential:

  • University degree in related or equivalent fields & previous experience in a Demand Planning role
  • Computer literate (advanced xls & ppt knowledge a must)
  • Demantra /BI Oracle/Hyperion knowledge is an asset
  • Solid understanding of Supply Chain processes
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written), French a plus.
