The Business Unit Digital Sense (DS) takes ownership on the solution portfolio in weighing & dosing, packing & palletizing, and inline quality analyzers - fully integrated across the Bühler processes. We focus on increasing productivity, food safety, sustainability, and digitalization.

In this position you will be part of the Business Unit management team and responsible for leading the Customer Service department within our strategy and operations. Tasks
  • Lead and develop the Customer Service Department with about 6 direct reports (Process Engineer, Service Specialists Service Technicians, Complaint Officer)
  • Active collaboration in the development of the customer service product portfolio as well as managing the operational implementation of the customer service portfolio along the sales and service process
  • Management and operational implementation of a 2nd level after sales service to support our worldwide services and sales organizations (SAS), customers, and other BU’s using Digital Sense machines and systems
  • Technical and organizational management of the field service team, which supports the regional SASs in critical projects
  • Providing know-how in process technology to R&D projects, the sales process and in the operational processing of customer orders
  • Active management and implementation of complaint management (CAQ’s) for the entire business unit
  • Participation in the strategic build-up and sustainable maintenance of a first-class 1st level service organization, in cooperation with the regions and the DS Customer Service team in China

Required Qualifications
  • Solid technical education and further studies in mechanical engineering, process technology or automation (degree level HF, FH, or similar)
  • Several years of experience in customer service in the capital goods industry
  • Proven leadership experience as well as good knowledge of personnel and operations planning
  • Customer and solution orientated with a strong business mindset
  • Diplomatic and decisive nature with profound intercultural skills
  • Strong communication skills in German and English
  • Innovative, solution focused and hands-on personality
