For our AMETEK CTS business unit, we are looking for a Deputy purchasing manager (m / f / d) at our headquarters in Reinach BL (close to Basel, Switzerland).

Key Responsibilities of the Deputy purchasing manager (m / f / d) include:
  • Strategic and operational handling of the assigned procurement area (mechanics)
  • Support and development of local and international suppliers
  • Optimization of purchase prices and corresponding reporting (budget, forecast, PPV)
  • Optimization of delivery and payment terms, as well as the required delivery quality with corresponding reporting
  • Technical and commercial clarifications of purchasing parts for existing and new products
  • Support and implementation of internal and group-wide procurement projects
  • Process optimization of the supply chain
  • Assistance in the industrialization of new products (prototype procurement / master data development)
  • Master data maintenance and updates in ERP
Position Requirements:
  • Basic technical training in mechanics / electrics or a technically related profession is mandatory
  • Further training as a purchasing specialist, technical merchant or similar
  • At least 5 years of procurement experience, preferably from the electrotechnical industry
  • Open, service-oriented personality with strong negotiation skills
  • Very good MS Office & ERP skills (MS Dynamics NAV)
  • Analytical skills with flair for numbers / reporting
  • Very good German and English skills (oral and written)
  • Team player, flexible and resilient personality
