As "Design and Hardware Manager" within the new Retail Solutions Development team (part of the Digital Operations team), your responsibility will be to give life to the "connected" furniture’s, products, areas, needed to deliver our innovative experiences across the Retail network. You will have to select, source and integrate the relevant hardware that will fit our needs from a UX, compliance & scalability point of view. You will closely work with SDP and VM teams, ensuring the integration of such hardware is done the best possible way, respecting the Boutique/POS environment, design and security requirements as well as ensuring an optimum user experience.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

Furniture Design:

  • Co-design / give guidance to SDP / VM and external suppliers teams when working on a new connected furniture in order to achieve the best possible hardware integration, user experience as well as the easiest maintenance. Some projects will have to be designed from scratch and some others will require a hardware integration on an existing piece of furniture (with possible adjustments).
  • In parallel work on dedicated stands / PLV with the Visual Merchandising team when necessary
  • With the relevant teams, establish the physical user experience / selling ceremony linked to the use of the furniture by Clients or Sales associates in order to optimize design / integration
  • Design thinking, building POC and testing are part of the job as well as global roll out phase when a POC has been validated

Hardware Supply and After Sales Service:

  • Find the most appropriate hardware options for each one of our projects. Main criteria should be: last generation components, quality, reliability, availability, price and after sales service capabilities.
  • Ensure to tackle all the issues related to regional connectivity (i.e. voltage, network compatibility etc..).
  • Before making a final decision on a product (and when possible) a benchmark between 2 to 3 different providers should be made
  • Cost negotiation with suppliers before possible industrialization is also part of the scope
  • Handle / coordinate spare parts stock as well as after sales service for all the hardware deployed worldwide. In some cases, furniture’s providers will act as an intermediary to Markets but in most of the cases these issues will be managed directly between hardware provider and Markets through a process established by the DHS Manager and under his/her control.

Hardware Compliance:

  • Manage testing and compliance for the integration of new hardware to the Richemont network with Richemont IT security teams

Logistic and Order Management:

  • Handle / coordinate all order management of new connected furniture’s with relevant parties once a new product is validated. Create and follow up on a planning of construction / delivery and ensure the Markets are receiving their orders in due time
  • Handle / coordinate the supply of the hardware to be integrated by furniture’s suppliers for any POC or global roll-out
