Design Engineer Equipment Engineering (m/f) - Full Time - Allschwil, Switzerland

Join our ST ERA team within Chemtech division in Switzerland as Design Engineer Equipment Engineering (m/f) to help us take our customer’s experience to the next level.

In this role you will be accountable for:
  • Creating mechanical equipment specifications and layout drawings for pressure vessels and rotating equipment according internal and international standards and regulations, customer specifications and contractual agreements
  • Independent execution of process equipment orders in collaboration with purchasing, project management, process and quality department.
  • Preparation of technical purchasing specifications, purchase requisitions and supplier document requirements.
  • Review of detailed drawings and other technical documents established by external suppliers or by customers
  • Supporting Project Management in conjunction with technical specifications, regulations, quality, deliverables and delivery dates.
  • Updating and improvement of internal engineering standards and tools.
  • Quality inspections and progress monitoring at external suppliers in collaboration with purchasing and Quality
  • Project coordination and communication internal and with external suppliers
  • Supporting sales department in regard of technical issues, specifications and cost estimation of process equipment / pressure vessels using internal pricing tools or based on supplier quotations
To succeed in this role, you will need:

You have a completed technical education, preferably in mechanical engineering or and equivalent education, and several years of experience in pressure vessels and rotating equipment design for applications in chemistry, pharma or oil and gas industry. You are experienced in using pressure vessel design codes as EN13445, AD2000 and ASME Vlll-Div.1.

Your know-how in IT and MS Office applications is on a reasonable level.

You are a team player, customer oriented but also used to work self-reliant. Your communication and organizational skills build an excellent basis for this versatile role. Moreover, you have a good imagination and you feel comfortable working in interdisciplinary teams and projects. In addition, you are fluent in English. Good German skills are a big advantage, any other European languages are welcome.

Location:We are based in Allschwil. This is a great growing place and is just next to the nice city of Basel, accessible via bus and tram.
