JOB PURPOSE

An exciting opportunity exists for a world class Ground Handling /Destination Experiences Expert to join our newly created luxury travel brand “Explora Journeys” to support ground handling operations, especially pre and post hotel reservations, terminal operations, luggage handling and to create, develop and monitor tour programs in worldwide destinations.

Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss Hospitality and luxury in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group`s hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of four ships (currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travelers.

Key Accountabilities
  • Setting up ground handling operations & product development (hotel pre and post packages worldwide, transfers, luggage handling) and luxury terminal operations.
  • Product development : setting up tour programs, pre and post and overland experiences in destinations, in selected geographical areas.
  • Establishing strong relationships with Ground Handlers, Tour Operators, negotiation and contracting.
  • Monitor and negotiate suppliers regarding their performance striving to reduce costs.
  • Uploading tours and products in the Reservation systems and website.
  • Administrative task including monitoring inventory management, and maintenance of information on the different systems.
  • Perform site inspections / participation in Embarkation/ Debarkation operations in areas of responsibility.
  • Working on procedures for ground handling, terminal operations & General Terms and Conditions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree.

2.5 years of experience in a similar job.
  • Proven knowledge of logistical and operational processes moving large number of guests on Turnaround operations or Shore Excursions.
  • Experience in terminal operations.
  • Outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Experience of handling complains through to resolution.
