DevOps Engineer – Hilti Cloud (m/f/x)

You will be part of a team of a global and cross-functional team of Product Owners, Solution Architects, Software, QA, and Security Engineers. In this highly challenging and motivating environment, you drive the implementation of and the operations of some of the core technical components, run proof of concepts and continuously improve our SDLC and software offerings in terms of automation and efficiency.

The Global IT teams, operating from our technology hubs in Switzerland, Malaysia, and the USA, work closely together by translating the latest IT innovations into sustainable, value-creating solutions & services for our customers.

In this role you own and drive functional and technical design of API Gateway, Hilti Cloud Toolchain, and Automation. You run Proof of Concepts with new technologies, methods or solutions. To Product Owner you provide consultation and high-level estimation on the optimum and alternative solutions. Jointly with Solution Architects you collaborate to prepare and present your solutions to Enterprise Architecture and Security teams for reviews. You work with Software, QA, and Security Engineers to improve the overall SDLC automation. You implement requirements of the API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, request and response modifications etc. using the API management platform. In addition you standardize the CI/CD setup for API management tools and automated deployment. You like to continuously explore new technologies, stay up to date on trends in technology and solutions and drive technical change on Hilti Cloud. Together with our business partners you provide 2nd/3rd level support for the solutions.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or in similar fields
• Proven hands-on experience in DevOps tools using modern technologies
• Past experience in common software development technologies is an advantage
• Proven experience in following technologies is a must: microservices architecture, AWS and public cloud, REST APIs design, Pub/sub and event-drive architecture, CI/CD
• Proven hands-on experience with one or more scripting language
• Excellent communication skills at both levels: technology and business
