You work with the latest and greatest big data technologies and their related ecosystems – on-site and in the cloud.

  • Design and implement our runtime platform built around Kubernetes and all its components
  • Build and maintain software and self-service APIs that empower our users to manage their resources
  • Operate and improve both the reliability and the availability of our platform

Runtime & Orchestration As part of our agile team, you implement new use cases using open-source technologies, design new architecture patterns, improve our DevOps environment and explore new technologies. You also collaborate closely with other core big data component teams to develop and support end-to-end services to delight our users who heavily rely on performance, stability and resilience. You are joining a passionate team of engineers in an autonomous and self-organized team. You are motivated by constant challenges and believe in our vision as we keep taking the platform to the next level.

The project The data lake platform we build integrates Swisscom products and opens the door to new, cutting-edge and data-driven products. We enable hundreds of internal engineers and analysts to gain new insights and create new possibilities for our customers. We design, implement and operate Kubernetes clusters deployed in multiple data centres, at various premises and on AWS. We build a system that automates the management of our platforms and APIs enabling self-service for the whole company. We value a high-quality infrastructure such as code development, pair-programming, peer reviews, CI/CD pipelines, automations and innovation and always aim to challenge the status-quo.

Your profile

  • Strong expertise in systems engineering (Linux, IP networking, system security)
  • Development experience in Java, Go or Python
  • Experience with Kubernetes and/or other distributed systems technologies
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible
  • Hands-on experience on AWS
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented, reliable, accountable and pragmatic
  • Very good English. French or German is a plus
  • Enthusiasm for DevOps and Agile methodologies
