About the Role


We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Digital and Transformation Manager to join our Data Culture Chapter. The team consists of various data, digital and communication professionals who support the transformation of Swiss Re to become tech enabled and data-led risk knowledge leader.

Your main responsibilities will be:



• Planning and coordinating Engagement, Education and Empowerment initiatives for helping employees increase their data literacy and data skills relevant to their job.
  • Delivering and designing learning and education content for data products, use cases and advanced analytics solutions
  • DataCamps workshops definition, coordination and facilitation. Datacamps are design to address real business needs, develop solutions and improve the people skills and savviness using data and data technologies
  • Coordination of Data Culture adoption in Business Units including Learning and development definitions,
  • Leading or supporting the organising of different data and tech related events like TechDays, HackZurich, Datathons
  • Contributing with ideas, proposals and actions to creatine engaging upskilling initiatives to drive Data Culture in the company and empower employees to work and think data-driven

About the Team


The Data Culture Chapter within Data Office supports Swiss Re’s business and group functions and clients in encouraging an open and trustworthy data culture and mind-set. We are working with the Group Data Services supporting business units to implement Swiss Re’s Data Analytics strategy by generating outstanding insights, improving operational efficiency and developing new technology driven value propositions. With our digital and data-savviness balanced with customer-centric soft skills and a dedication, we will identify & drive opportunities with the greatest impact for Swiss Re’s data journey. As a Digital and Transformation Manager, you will work and interact directly with data scientists, data engineers and business specialists from around the globe within assigned Business Unit.


About You

We are happy to meet you if you possess:



• A university degree with focus on quantitative science (mathematics, computer science, economics, data science, finance) or another related field
  • Hands on experience of data disciplines (data governance, data management, data architecture, data analysis, data science) and savvy in digital trend topics
  • Demonstrable experience as a change manager, project manager or workshop facilitator with demonstratable experience creating joint movement fostering data literacy, facilitating workshops, organising events, and engaging stakeholders
  • Ability to explain complex problems with clarity and simplicity, with a consistent record of explaining data topics to specialists and non-technical audiences, including leaders of all levels
  • Knowledge of risk management, insurance, or related industry (experience in reinsurance is a plus)
  • Key interests in all data, tech, and digital topics in general
  • Strategic problem solver with a track-record of creative problem-solving as well as openness and curiosity to learn and ’can do’ attitude
  • Outstanding English language skills, other languages (e.g. German, Chinese and others) are a plus
