Job Description:
EAME Distribution has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate individual who can drive change and process improvements in the digital area. As a Digital Operations Consultant, you will play a key role in executing our digital strategy. Your primary role will consist in working with key dealers in Germany, Italy and Spain and develop their digital capabilities in line with the Digital Excellence Program.
The incumbent will provide Subject Matter Expertise in the area of Connectivity, Platform & Data and Applications with a particular focus on eCommerce, Connectivity and Data Health, and Fleet Management Applications. In this role you will work directly with senior dealer management as well as many internal business partners across the enterprise including Cat Digital, CISD, E&T and DSD.
This position provides a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast evolving environment and contribute to Caterpillar’s Services Growth Strategy by working on enterprise-wide recognized initiatives and improving dealer digital capabilities and performance. To succeed in this role, strong Communication, Change and Project Management skills are essential.
Main Job Responsibilities include:
  • Driving execution of Digital priorities and strategic initiatives as identified by Leadership Tables, Operational Excellence Program and Services Growth Strategies.
  • Conducting the Digital Excellence Program assessment with assigned dealers, establish and execute action plans and governance reviews to improve dealer digital capabilities.
  • Consulting with dealers on eCommerce, Connectivity, Data Health, and Fleet Management solutions.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for eCommerce and Fleet Management solutions and drive customer adoption and online part sales.
  • Be the main digital contact for District Managers, Field Reps as well as internal business partners and provide subject matter expertise to improve digital and technology capacity and capability.
  • Aligning strategies of the dealer, Cat Digital, Aftermarket Services, Industries and Caterpillar Distribution Services Divisions
  • Keeping up with new industry trends, changing technology and regulations affecting the competitive environment.
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing, engineering, information technology, or similar
  • 6+ years of operational and marketing experience gained from a broad range of assignments requiring dealer and/or customer contact and interactions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including presentation proficiency and a demonstrated ability to earn trust and credibility with senior management teams
  • Ability to influence internal and external partners at all hierarchy levels to successfully drive change
  • Extensive project management and process improvement experience
  • Self-starter, able to work autonomously and in teams
Top candidates will also have:
  • Good understanding of the Digital Operations environment and in particular eCommerce, Connectivity, Dealer Data Health, and/or Fleet Management solutions.
  • Proven ability to drive operational improvements with dealers and customers
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand dealer culture with the ability to translate that understanding into a tailored approach to selling the value of Digital offerings
  • Fluent in German – additional languages (Italian / Spanish) are a plus
