The Digital Product Owner will define and manage a multi-year digital roadmap including critical end-to-end supply chain capabilities and solutions to transform our business. This individual will drive the execution of the digital supply chain roadmap & capabilities, overseeing the development and deployment of end-to-end digital solutions that solve unmet needs and generate value through a fully integrated digital ecosystem. This role will help transform underlying business processes (Source, Make, Quality, Finance), build sustainable support model, and drive end user adoption. The person in this role will demonstrate strong experience in supply chain (Source, Make, Quality, Finance), end to end thinking, digital acumen and ensure proper linkages to the digital strategies of partner functions (R&D, Commercial, etc.).

This individual will be responsible for understanding business strategies, processes, and expected outcomes. This individual will deeply understand user needs and expected business value, delivering digital solutions that unlock efficiency and drive progress against defined key performance indicators (KPIs). This role will interface with both technical development teams and business stakeholders. He/she will develop, deploy, and orchestrate standard process capabilities and best in class tools / systems to expedite business decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Define and manage multi-year digital roadmap including critical end-to-end capabilities to transform our business.
  • Identify interdependencies, provide functional and technical leadership, apply knowledge of master data and process knowledge of procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance to make decisions for large and complex initiatives
  • Develop end to end digital capabilities in partnership with digital capability owners, J&J Technology, and cross-functional business users.
  • Drive harmonization and standardization of our sourcing, manufacturing and quality data, reporting and analytics solutions to unlock efficiency.
  • Serve as an orchestrator and connector across business stakeholders / users, scrum teams, capability owners, and broader DTO team.
  • Clearly define and document the vision and roadmap of digital products / solutions, including business case and expected value.
  • Apply technical and functional knowledge to design solutions which are in line with technical architecture, database design and performance requirements.
  • Analyze the business and system impacts of a solution and partners with the team to plan the detailed tasks required to achieve delivery of the fully tested solution.
  • Establish strong alignment and linkages to partner functions such as J&J Technology (JJT), R&D, Quality, Commercial, Enterprise Supply Chain, & Regional Value Chains.
  • Champion our bold digital strategy and ensure it is adopted & activated globally.
  • Provide regular, timely, transparent communication on progress against digital product and capability roadmaps to both internal DTO and cross-functional business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate adoption of various digital capabilities and drive continuous education / training programs.
  • Be an integral part of Consumer Health’s Digital journey, shape digital capability roadmaps to accelerate business outcomes, in partnership with the regional and functional stakeholders.
  • Partner with SMEs to identify key emerging digital capabilities, products, and solutions to drive overall achievement of digital roadmap and business value generation.
  • Ensure critical business solutions are deployed and constantly improved to address changing business needs and transform and mature our business.
  • Optimize digital portfolio to minimize duplicate efforts, optimize costs and resources and maximize benefits while maturing digital capabilities.
  • Contribute materials to and present digital capabilities at the Digital Councils and various Steering Committees as needed.
  • Create and espouse a high-performing, diverse and inclusive team culture where different viewpoints are visibly encouraged and supported.

Required

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelors’ degree is required. Specialization in supply chain with experience in data engineering, data science or advanced analytics fields is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of business experience
  • At least 3 years of Supply Chain (source, make and / or quality focus), IT or other relevant functional experience
  • Outstanding stakeholder management experience, superior influencing, and collaboration skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Thought leadership with an agile mindset experienced in shaping solutions, with strong communication, and partnership skills
  • Strong understanding and working experience utilizing design-thinking best practices– empathy, requirements definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing to deliver digital products and experiences
  • Experience with Agile product development methodology
  • Experience with the development and deployment of digital solutions to achieve business results
  • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical team members
  • Must be comfortable with constructively challenging the status quo and looking for new ways to improve processes and results.
  • Strong critical thinking, with outstanding analytical, influencing, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a strategic thinker with both technical acumen and business knowledge.
  • Must be able to self-direct, plan and execute complex initiatives.

Preferred
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional projects
  • Strong digital product management experience including experience in building / managing data and analytics platforms, data science / advanced analytics / intelligent automation solutions
  • Knowledge of operational business processes within Supply Chain functions (Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Logistics)
  • Experience in working with ERP (SAP), Tableau, Alteryx, SQL and various data & analytics tools
  • Scrum Alliance certification is preferred (e.g., Product Owner, Developer, ScrumMaster)
  • Strong Supply Chain industry knowledge and business acumen
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Azure stack
  • Experience working in or with a complex global organization spanning across functions
  • Experience in relevant industry
  • Experience with financial statements and methodologies (P&L, Balance Sheet, COGs, GP, ROI, NPV, IRR)
