In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes. 
  

Position Description

The Director, Asset Management is accountable for providing strategic and technical direction for facilities operations across NCHC’s global portfolio of sites. They lead the Global Workstream for standardized practices in asset life cycle, reliability performance, capital planning, utilities operations and maintenance, project management, laboratory services and infrastructure planning for all sites. 

This role is responsible for providing direction and technical oversight for strategic service providers delivering outsourced asset management activities on behalf of NCHC; directs the development and execution of a multi-year infrastructure asset management plan, in collaboration with Maintenance & Utilities, Project Delivery, and Space Planning, to ensure that NCHC facilities are well maintained and perform as required, to meet customer expectations. 

A suitable candidate for this role will have current knowledge and deep understanding of asset management and reliability practices and provides leadership and support for internal and external audits and inspections. This leader coordinates a community of practice for Asset Management to ensure that strategies are consistently and comprehensively deployed while working with site and sector leadership to identify minimal capabilities required for asset management and to ensure that appropriate skill development programs are in place to achieve capabilities. 

Key relationships include collaboration with FM regional leadership to manage asset-related nuances among different geographies and business sectors to ensure successful implementation and management of the program. This leader will work closely with various internal and external partners including:  Facilities Operations, Quality, Site Leadership, EHS&S, providers of maintenance, reliability and infrastructure services, peer organizations for benchmarking, and regulatory agencies as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide standardized technical direction on asset management
  • Develop asset management policy, strategies, standards and roadmap, in line with company business objectives
  • Develop strategies for asset life cycle management, risk management, information systems, project management, laboratory services and improvement programs
  • Develop Asset Management Vision, Policy and Strategy, to improve the overall lifecycle of the assets
  • Ensure all policies and processes related to environmental, health and safety comply with local government and company regulations
  • Assess the impact of environmental, health and safety laws and regulations as they affect the company and its operations
  • Track new regulations as they develop. Formulates and implements policies, advises senior management on the compliance status, costs and technical improvements needed to achieve compliance
  • Develop multi-year capital investment strategy and governance process
  • Partner with EHS, Quality, Site leadership, FM leadership, E&PS, CCFS, leadership to keep all partners informed on Global Workstreams activities
  • Lead global asset management standards and processes deployment, including standardized approach to O&M and non-make project management
  • Develop asset management outsource model, as part of global FM Transformation. Develop RFP document suite for asset management and project management
  • Lead Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) programme, analyse findings. Use FCA outputs combined with condition-based data (CMMS) to develop multi-year asset replacement/renewal facilities base business capital (FBBCap) plans
  • Lead asset integrity programmes - electrical systems safety programme, boiler safety programme, etc. Ensure completion of all site assessments and closure of findings. Develop future integrity programme inspection strategy
  • Develop CMMS strategy for FM, including roadmap standardisation to support 2020 vision, appropriate governance structures and data input/output standards
  • Develop asset management assessment tool (Make sites) to determine facility maturity in asset life cycle activities. Support and deploy this tool in Make and Non-Make sites. Identify main gaps in facility maturity and develop action plans for each of these gaps
  • Engage with external organizations (Industry, IAM, and SMRP) to benchmark best practices in FM.
  • Develop ISO55000 knowledge and manage certification programme
  • Work with Regional Directors, Site Agnostic roles and Site Managers to develop voice of customer for their requirements from Asset Management Global Workstreams
  • Ensure technical support is provided to facilities on asset management programmes and processes
  • Develop easily accessible data repository for Global Workstreams information
  • Work with SDP on new O&M standards for FM equipment. Ensure alignment to existing Design standards
  • Develop and implement Industry 4.0. Manufacturing for the Future (MFF) strategy for E&PS, in key areas of predictive maintenance, smart buildings/factories

  

Qualifications

Required Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Focused degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or another similar field required
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Experience in asset management, utility/facility operations and maintenance, capital projects, facility management, financial, or performance management

Preferred Competencies
  • MBA or Master’s degree, or equivalent preferred
  • Global experience preferably across multiple geographies
  • Experience leading and managing complex workstreams and multiple staff members; experience managing a geographically dispersed team
