Director Clairol & Wella Trade Marketing (Maternity leave replacement - 11 Months)

THE ROLE
The Global Wella Brand Trade Marketing Director is accountable for 1) creating category growth strategy to unlock WELLA’s and its trading partners growth in the retail channel 2) designing Fit For Use innovation and trade execution plans that can fuel the strategy and be executed perfectly in the markets 3) supervising and continuously improving global capability program 4) leading the team of the trade marketing and capability managers. This is a critical, high impact role for the Global Retail Hair business that requires daily engagement with the market teams around the world and has a direct impact on the innovation & support strategy of WELLA brands in the retail channel. This is a temporary position to substitute for the maternity leave and is expected to last at minimum until October 2022.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Set Hair Color and Styling category strategy to unlock category growth for WELLA trading partners and grow WELLA brands’ market share
Co-desig innovation with the global marketing team to ensure that every new launch / or commercial exploitation is serving the purpose of growing the category
Own 5P strategies and execution for each innovation
Ensure operational excellence: commercial readiness, innovation in-market tracking, innovation connects, fit for use process
Coordinate and continuously improve global capability building program
Center of global category management excellence (shopper insights / category management)
Lead key global customer engagements
Oversee critical business transition programs
Set clear direction, manage, coach and develop team of Trade Marketing direct reports to deliver business objectives and build future talent.

QUALIFICATIONS
Proven global or regional trade marketing experience ideally in the beauty care category (hair care experience would be a strong advantage)
Proven success record in the market-level sales or trade marketing organization
Externally-focused with industry knowledge, understanding of the market, customer and competitive environment
Strong Leadership & empathy skills to set direction, motivate, manage & coach
Excellent verbal & written communication, presentation & negotiation skills (in English) to inspire & influence global teams, top markets/regions and top customers.
Analytical, thinking & problem solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Net Revenue / EBITDA in line with the business unit targets
100% of innovation with category building concept sells
Refreshed category growth strategies for the key category/country combinations
Improved operational excellence and overall market satisfaction with the quality of the global deliverable
