The Consumer Health organization is on a journey to become a Digital-First organization. The Digital Transformation Office is driving the overall Digital transformation, by building and deploying end-to-end digital solutions that solve unmet needs and generate value through a fully integrated digital ecosystem. Along the journey, this team is transforming underlying business processes, building sustainable support model, and driving adoption of digital tools that generate new value and improve employee, customer, and consumer experiences. Team members of the DTO demonstrate strong experience in supply chain, end to end thinking, digital acumen and ensure proper linkages to the digital strategies of partner functions (R&D, Commercial, Quality etc.).

To enable the delivery of cutting-edge digital solutions and new ways of working, the Digital Transformation Office is building foundational, reusable, and scalable data assets. The Customer Data Asset Owner designs and manages the end-to-end data lifecycle, and the execution of data sourcing, harmonization, and curation for Customer Data. This individual will be responsible for defining and governing data management standards within the Customer Data domain and partnering with various data management and operations teams to define and implement data standards and improve business processes in support of data quality.

He/she will collect data requirements from data consumers, capability owners, and digital product owners within the Customer Data domain or across domains, communicate data requirements to data providers, and monitor compliance to these requirements. This individual will coordinate with business process stakeholders to ensure that the proper business context and impact are considered in discussions regarding specific data elements.

The Customer Data Asset owner will leverage advanced analytics, intelligent automation, data science, and other cutting-edge technology to continuously improve processes and drive greater value and efficiency in overall data management processes.
  • Shape and drive overall Supply Chain Digital Transformation to accelerate business outcomes and propel growth, in partnership with the regional and functional leadership teams.
  • Define the Customer Data Asset strategy that will accelerate the Consumer Health Digital Transformation and drive financial and strategic business outcomes.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to develop a comprehensive, multi-year roadmap for the Customer Data Asset and oversee execution of end-to-end data sourcing, harmonization, and curation.
  • Collect data requirements from data consumers, capability owners, and digital product owners within the Customer Data domain or across domains, communicate data requirements to data providers and monitor compliance to these requirements.
  • Define and govern data management standards within the Customer data domain, and partner with SMEs and Data Management teams to implement data quality standards and improve business processes in support of data quality.
  • Create and espouse a high-performing, diverse and inclusive team culture where different viewpoints are visibly encouraged and supported.
  • Continuously raise the bar on performance, technical depth, product management results, and people leadership skills.
  • Manage senior, high performing staff across subject matter areas.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelors’ degree is required. Specialization in data science, data engineering or advanced analytics fields is strongly preferred. Master of Business Administration (MBA), master’s degree in data science and/or PhD is also strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of business experience with at least 5 years of Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Commercial Analytics, or other relevant functional experience required.
  • Experience in leading large, cross-functional projects & programs is required
  • Experience with data modeling and data analysis techniques is required
  • Experience defining data management strategy and associated operational standards (e.g., Data Lifecycle Management, Data Quality standards) is required.
  • Experience managing people (direct reports) is preferred
  • Experience working across Commercial functions (especially sales operations, revenue growth management, category management, etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience working with retailer data, syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen or IRI aggregated data), eCommerce, and/or ERP Customer Master Data is preferred.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or order to cash systems / process is preferred.
  • Experience working with sensitive, highly restricted data is preferred.
  • Experience in reference data operational processes and data lifecycle activities is preferred.
  • Prior experience leading digital transformation and driving capability maturity across enterprises is preferred.
  • Strong industry knowledge and business acumen preferred.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure stack preferred.
  • Strong strategic mind, outstanding critical thinking, influencing, and interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand business and technical functions, process information quickly, and assess impacts to data elements; sound judgement is required.
  • Experience working across Supply Chain domains (especially delivery / logistics, customer service, and eCommerce channel fulfillment) is a plus.
  • May require up to 20% travel (domestic and/or international).
