Director E2E Product Planning

Janssen Supply Group, LLC, part of Janssen Supply Chain (JSC), is recruiting for a Director, End-to-End Product Planning.

  • Zug, Switzerland (primary location)

In this role, you will be responsible, together with your team, to drive the optimal global planning of a portfolio of products from an End-to-End perspective across all dimensions of the JSC Supply Chain: API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) large and small molecule manufacturing sites, Formulation/Bulk sites, Fill-Finish sites, key external manufacturing sites and key suppliers through 5 key processes:
  • Defining the E2E global supply chain configuration and related parameters (de-coupling points, replenishments strategies etc.)
  • NPI Planning Management
  • Ensuring demand & net requirements propagation and driving the alignment of the constrained E2E production and inventory plans in the monthly planning cycle, using multi-echelon planning techniques across the different global manufacturing nodes
  • Taking part in the executive IBP processes, leading the DSRM for your team portfolio
  • Resolves E2E issues (allocation management, root cause analyses, etc.)

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Leading, mentoring and growing a matrix-oriented team
  • Representing the E2E product planning team in programs, projects and cross-segment initiatives
  • Representing the E2E product planning team in the executive IBP processes and leading the development of scenarios to anticipate any changes
  • Identifying/leading continuous improvements of planning processes
  • Flawless execution of the 5 key processes for the portfolio of products
  • Managing the E2E Supply chain performance in alignment with targets
  • Ensuring timely completion of E2E planning activities in the Monthly Planning Cycle to stakeholders/business partners
  • Identifying and mitigating proactively potential product supply issues
  • NPI Planning Management
  • Interacting collaboratively and proactively with Global Planning leaders (S&OP, inventory, strategic capacity management, API planning, Fill Finish Planning, etc.), key business partners (in finance, value stream management, launch management, customer management, demand management, manufacturing, quality, JJSC PLAN etc.) and senior leaders
  • Providing input and direction into the Olympus (OMP) deployment for the E2E product planning processes, master data harmonization and Transparent Supply Chain/ Control Tower

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. A degree focus within engineering, logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, finance or economics or an advanced degree (MBA or Master’s degree) is preferred
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated experience & results in at least two of the following areas: manufacturing, (global) planning, S&OP/IBP, and/or supply chain management is required. Supply Chain certification is preferred e.g. APICS
  • Experience with direct supervisory/team management is required
  • Experience in a multi-echelon supply chain is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly and tight deadlines exist
  • Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and look for collaboration with people from different departments and all levels
  • Demonstrated international/global experience is required combined with leadership and impactful communication skills
  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical sector is preferred
  • Strong communication, analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience with SAP or OMP is preferred
  • Proven business experience in Supply Chain including insight in End-to-End supply chain characteristics, Commercial and Finance with in-depth understanding of financial processes
  • Ability to work across all organizational levels and boundaries through influence, negotiation and partnering
  • This position may require up to 25% domestic and international travel
