Director Growth Initiatives Hearing Instruments

As Director Growth Initiatives Hearing Instruments, you will directly report into the GVP Hearing Instruments and work closely with the VP Global Growth Initiatives to help Sonova accelerate its journey towards Commercial Excellence. You will work with partners in Marketing, Product Management, R&D, Sales and Group Companies to achieve growth breakthroughs by improving and deploying essential commercial capabilities, processes and tools. Furthermore, you will promote and facilitate diagnosis of work flow impediments and wastes throughout the commercial organization with a focus on Marketing, and provide expert counselling on appropriate tools to eliminate them. In your daily work, you will exemplify the Continuous Improvement culture and mindset in the growth areas by acting as a coach, mentor and trainer on the Sonova Excellence System.

Your tasks
  • Strengthen Growth and Continuous Improvement culture by coaching and mentoring all levels of the organization on the Sonova Excellence mindset and standards such as Daily Management, Kaizen, Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, and Policy Deployment
  • Continuously improve performance fundamentals by training and installing foundational capabilities such as Strategy Deployment, Action Planning, and KPI management
  • Continuously elevate commercial processes and, in particular, marketing processes by supporting business and functional leaders in developing, deploying, and sustaining functional and process best practices with the business
  • Manage funnel of Growth and Continuous Improvement initiatives by supporting leaders in defining and implementing a prioritized roadmap (capabilities, processes, and tools) to achieve Commercial Excellence
  • Lead Kaizen events to help drive accelerated change, ensure effective sustainment of results and support problem solving to close gaps to targets
  • Assist in achieving the Strategic Plan objectives and KPI related to the BU priorities in collaboration with the functional owners


Your profile
  • University degree in business, business administration or equivalent education
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in marketing or product management in a continuous improvement environment with credentials in facilitating Kaizens and the application of other Continuous Improvement tools in a growth context
  • Proven track record in a change agent role with excellent business transformation / change management skills and the ability to inform, coach and convince others in deploying a Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a result-oriented business mindset
  • Teamplayer with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, and excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel (up to 30%)
