We offer an interesting and challenging opportunity in our international multi-site positioning product development team. The product development team serves the differentiated market needs with dedicated product lines to assure maximum business agility. The product teams are creating products by integrating features and functionality from our internal platform development team and combining them into product releases.

As the Director Lean Product Portfolio Positioning you are leading and coaching our team of product owners. You plan and manage our product portfolio according to lean management principles and align it with the market priorities defined by our product strategy team. You are assessing ideas in the early phase and propose an execution approach in cooperation with your product owners and the head of product design and development.

With your understanding of the dependencies and available capacities you can compile scenarios which help product strategy and the management to achieve the highest market value through our investments. In your position you coach your product owners in their role and assure constant quality of your deliveries by your inputs to our product life cycle process and release reviews.

Your Responsibilities
  • as a member of Lean Portfolio Management Team, you help to define and provide a competitive product portfolio offer according to the market needs and in agreement with product design and development as well as our platform and technology development priorities
  • lead and empower the team of product owners and coach them in their role and decision-making process (servant leadership approach) incl. help to create an adequate working environment for agile way of working
  • lead the team through the change process
  • to improve our product life cycle process and adjust the gate review criteria according to the agreed standards
  • to assure clear communication and expectation management on the deliveries and support the product owner in critical stakeholder management, escalation topics as well as in cross department co-operations
  • to define clear delivery agreements and track the efforts spent
  • to identify improvement in the product development process
  • to assure an optimal balance of new developments, product maintenance and customer support work in the product delivery teams
Your Skills and Experience
  • university degree in technical domain
  • at least 3 years’ experience team leading
  • at least 5 years’ experience in agile product development as product owner or chief product owner
  • strong experience in lean portfolio management, agile project management and program management
  • servant leader, who can work independently and has a customer focused orientation
  • experience in leading through change process/ transformational leadership
  • willingness to travel occasionally
  • fluent in English (spoken and written)
