The Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) is a state-of-the-art digital innovation lab with a team of senior technical architects where customers envision, design, and demonstrate solutions that meet their exact needs. The mission of the MTCs is to deliver immersive experiences and deep technical engagement enabling our customers’ digital transformation journey to achieve their business outcomes. You are the leader a cutting-edge facility and customer experience where we take on our customers’ most challenging and complex technical and business scenarios. You orchestrate resources and teams with a singular focus on customer success.

Responsibilities

You will lead the best-of-the-best on an elite technology team with extraordinary consultative skills, an industry point of view and years of customer experience. The MTC is the hub of the Microsoft ecosystem. Key to the role is your leadership of senior Microsoft, Partner and strategic relationships to enable scale and consistency. You will work with top companies-across start-ups, our largest global partners and most strategic customers. Solutions span the Microsoft Cloud - Azure, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365. You will be a strategic leader and help set the direction for how we articulate Microsoft’s vision and differentiate it in the market. You will help customers with their digital transformation to better serve their customers, partners and employees.

Develop, lead and coach a diverse and
high performing technical sales leader team that helps customers make sound technical decisions and maximize the adoption and value of Microsoft solutions
  • Attract the best technical sales talents from the market, develop, inspire, motivate and recognize talent, and ensure they are able to grow.
  • Create a team of cross-solution Technical Architects to help create a digital vision for our customers and make it real.
  • Drive for knowledge of the industry’s IT technologies and competitors, and map relevant solutions to industry’s, customer’s IT and Business trends.
  • Build a learning culture in your team to build deep skills in core technologies, an architectural knowledge of the Microsoft Cloud, in the Microsoft enterprise story, consultative, professional skills and vertical industry fluency
  • Encourage your team to collaborate on opportunities and consumption projects to maximize the customer value.
  • Your practical experience will increase deal velocity by assessing the progress of technical engagements at every stage, and by orchestrating your Team, other Microsoft technical resources and Partners on most complex digital transformation deals.
Lead strategic sales, marketing and business development initiatives
  • Grow revenue and expand footprint in strategic accounts and across the enterprise business.
  • Coach and integrate with strategic account planning across Sales, Solution Area, Industry and Customer Success teams. Connect with subsidiary leadership to prioritize engagement. Position Strategy Briefings, Architecture Design Sessions, Workshops, Hackathons, Ideation Sessions and Rapid Prototypes.
  • Develop strategic relationships with customers. Identify key customers and opportunities with subsidiary sales leadership to sponsor and coach.
  • Lead strategic initiatives around the company’s efforts to drive market share acquisition spanning the developer/architect to the executive audience.
  • Orchestrate large, complex opportunities by working collaboratively to identify the right resources on the right customer or opportunity.
  • Build trust with customers and enable their decision-making process leading with industry and using consultative techniques
  • Nurture opportunities and accelerate them through the Microsoft Solution Selling and Consumption Processes
Inspire others as a change agent to help drive the transformation of Microsoft’s business
  • Provide industry leadership to position the MTC as a hub for the industry sales teams, industry experiences as well as developing "industry fluency" across the senior Technical Architect community.
  • You will demonstrate Microsoft’s value proposition internally and externally to executives by showcasing our technology innovations in the view of their business transformation and building relationships with and influencing key Decisions Makers
  • Build a focused set of Partner Relationship that help to scale Capacity and capability within the MTC Business
  • As a member of the worldwide MTC Leadership Community, share and adopt creative processes and plans for building strong customer-centric culture and product and services revenue results.
  • Encourage deep technical community participation and the importance of gathering and sharing customer insight.
Create aworld class, thought provokingcustomer experience at a state-of-the-art facility
  • Perform as leader responsible for the MTC facility including operations, personnel, reporting, expenses, and budgeting. Oversee management of customer experience and facility including the management of vendor staff.
  • Inspire sustained innovation for the facility working with industry, partners and WW MTC programs. Build annual capital request budgets.
  • Support citizenship and community efforts within the MTC; leveraging resources across all of Microsoft locally.

Qualifications

Technical Sales Leader
  • Experienced. 5+ years of related experience in technical sales leadership roles and coaching architecture and solution sales required.
  • Bold. Strong experience leading and executing on Technology Visions preferred.
  • Influencer. Ability to drive and influence Stakeholder across organizational boundaries through extremely strong negotiation, organizational, presentation, envisioning, writing, and verbal communication skills required.
People Leader
  • Recruiter. Demonstrated ability to build a healthy pipeline of great technical sales talents required.
  • Coach. Proven experience developing a high-performance team through continuous coaching, and inspiration required.
  • Energy Generator. Able to inspire your team and to build and maintain a high organizational health and satisfaction score required.
Business Manager
  • Performer. Highly driven person who consistently exceeds goals and expectations required.
  • Management and Sales excellence. Solid track record of managing business operations and processes required.
  • Scale engine. Experience leveraging partners and other technical resources preferred.
Technology Thought Leader
  • Passionate for technology. Constant and contagious desire to learn new technologies required.
  • Customer Voice. Ability to identify new technical and business trends and needs, and serves as the customer’s voice into Microsoft required.
  • Inspirational. Experience inspiring others through technical leadership, personal influence, and status as a role model based on consultative selling preferred.
  • Role Model. Proven track record in prioritization and orchestration of resources in and for complex customer digital transformation engagements preferred.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar information technology-related discipline, or in Business Administration required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven track record in either sales, sales management, complex sales training, sales methodologies, broad evangelism through events (presentation skills), and consultative selling preferred.
  • Additional training or education in Enterprise Architecture preferred
Languages
  • German and English is required, any other local language like French or Italian preferred
