The Director, Network Management is part of Centralized Services team within JJSC Strategy, Innovation & Deployment (SI&D). The role provides leadership in development, deployment and continuous improvement of network processes, tools and playbooks that sustain and improve J&J’s capability to effectively design and develop and implement optimized supply chains. They will also partner with Network Teams in the Sectors, SCRM Leads, and various Global Functions including Engineering & Property Services (E&PS), Procurement and Sustainability to deploy and continually improve business processes to manage and optimize our end to end supply network
Key Responsibilities
- Shape, develop, and continuously improve network management standards and processes based on Segment and key Global Function (e.g. Deliver, E&PS) stakeholder needs. Maintain network management tools and playbooks for consistent application across J&J Supply Chain and effective integration of Supply Chain Strategy evolution into network design recommendations. (25%)
- Leverage supply chain skills & business acumen to influence network assessments across JJSC ranging from supply chain asset rationalization and investments based on Customer needs to assessment of supply chain technology gaps based on portfolio evolution. Provide insights & partner, as appropriate, on ad-hoc network views for Acceleration Steering Committee decision making (25%)
- Influence analyses that impact J&J’s network (e.g. apply VCRM principles to strengthen network resilience) and shape and support certain Global Functions analyses focused on network (e.g. climate resilience, J&J Acceleration Program) (20%)
- Build and maintain external connections relevant to identifying best practices in network management including marketplace and industry trends (10%)
- Facilitate collaboration and drive alignment across sectors to ensure network analyses consider most effective and strategically aligned use of assets across J&J Supply Chain (10%)
- Apply strong coaching skills to on-board and train network practitioners on standard network processes and playbooks (10%)

- Organizational Skills - proven ability to manage multiple and interdependent initiatives
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or University equivalent) in a Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business area
- A minimum of 10 years combined business experience relevant to supply chain
- Manufacturing and Logistics experience or other core supply chain function (direct material procurement, quality, planning, etc.)
- Proven ability to collaborate across franchises, business sectors, and disciplines
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels and across our global supply chain
- Prior experience in managing supply chain network projects or experience with Make vs. Buy analyses
- Background in multiple disciplines, franchises, or varied sites
- This position may require up to 10% domestic & international travel
- MBA or other Advanced degree
- Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Global Enterprise or Cross-sector Supply Chain leadership experience
