What You’ll Do

• Working within the Chief Technology Office managing the evaluation, cultivation of Open Innovation partners in the areas of Gene, Cell, and nucleic acids
• The Director will lead and coordinate in collaboration with the Franchise leaders, the open innovation pipeline ensuring the business invests in the technologies and capabilities needed to stay ahead of the competition and maintain/gain market leadership in areas of strategic importance
• Lead and coordinate the use of the Danaher Business Systems (DBS) open innovation “toolset” for the, ensuring implementation across the franchises and delivery of outputs to leadership in areas of strategic importance.
• Contribute to the strategic planning processes and development of the plans for the different Franchises
  

Who You Are

• Possess a process orientated attitude with deep enthusiasm for technology innovation.
• Proven ability to be a self-starter and creative problem-solver.
• Combination of “thinker” and “do’er” with a strong aptitude for understanding strategic goals then building and executing the tactics to accomplish them. Exceptional ability to balance creative thinking with strong business judgment and analytical abilities.
• Bachelor’s Degree and relevant work experience in one or more of the fields of cell, gene or nucleic acid therapies .
• Product and market expertise, with detailed knowledge of the breadth of products/technologies used by drug developers
• Demonstrated experience in strategy formation, market analysis, competitive landscaping and business development.
• Ability to synthesize multiple data points to create strategic point of view which can be communicated in a simple message.
• Ability to energize, develop and establish rapport at all levels within an organization.
• Ability to travel nationally and internationally.
