The Director, SC Business Adoption Leader-MedTech will be a part of the MedTech SC Digital Transformation organization, a multi-year global business transformation initative that will modernize our end-to-end Supply Chain digital capabilities by harmonizing our disparate ecosystem of 40+ major global MEDTECH ERP systems, standardizing our core business processes and products [across Plan, Source, Make, Quality, Deliver, and Data], and enabling our integrated data strategy through a single SAP S/4 HANA instance.

The role will have 4 direct and an extended team of 10+ experts who will be accountable for leading a team of experts in driving the “People” transformation deliverables within a large transformation program.

The role will fundamentally lead all aspects of organizational change readiness, stakeholder engagement, business adoption, communications, business security, and training. This will be enabled by developing a deep understanding of our end-to-end organization and establishing relationships with key leaders in order to drive successful execution and transformation. In addition, the role will develop and leverage a single methodology and business transformation team across the programs in order to minimize impact, reduce change burden/fatigue, and minimize costs.

This individual must leverage a refined, multi-functional toolset of business expertise, change management knowledge, and digital acumen to effectively interact with a breadth of business stakeholders and global process owners. The successful candidate must be able to engage and operate with program teams at an execution level, as well as with senior leadership at a strategic level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Part of the overall Program Management Organization in order to ensure resources, timelines, and budget objectives are met for area of responsibilities.
  • Ensure key stakeholders are identified, engaged, and aligned across various key discussions and decisions.
  • Lead and partner with process leads, business owners and subject matter experts to identify major changes across People, Process, and Technology. Work with owners to proactively implement Change Impact Mitigations and communicate appropriately to impacted stakeholder groups.
  • Lead and partner with process leads and subject matter experts in order to develop and execute a comprehensive business readiness and cutover plan that enables the impacted functions to migrate onto the new platform successfully (i.e. transactional data clean-up, re-labeling, physical inventory counts, etc).
  • Manage all program communications. Provide proactive, concise, and pertinent communications to key stakeholders and impacted users as they relate to project execution, business transformations, change impacts, program awareness, etc. On an on-going basis, gauge the organizational “pulse” through various means (i.e. dialog, surveys, etc) in order to better understand external perspectives and opportunities.
  • Lead and partner with impacted leaders, process leads, business SME’s to understand end-user audience, needs, changes, to deliver required training via a comprehensive training approach.
  • In collaboration with senior leaders, ensure change and readiness plans align with strategies and roadmaps.
  • Partner with global team of Supply Chain experts in design, development, maintenance and improvement of global business processes and integration points.
  • Own establishment and implementation of business adoption methodology, including relevant templates, tools, methodology, controls, and cadence.
  • Ensure quality delivery of team deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Partner with program leads to establish integrated project plans / schedules / deliverables.
  • Ensure planning and execution of business simulation and validation/readiness.
  • Develop and deliver program presentations for senior-level MEDTECH stakeholders to advise on historical and future program status

  • Strong customer focus (internal & external), including development and management of stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively lead and govern cross-functional decision-making bodies required
  • Skilled at engaging and building relationships with senior business stakeholders required

Qualifications

Required
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or University equivalent)
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within Operations, Supply Chain, or large transformation programs.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of change management, communications, training, or business adoption leadership within a large transformation program or business unit
  • Strong knowledge of MedTech Supply Chain
  • Demonstrated hands-on project delivery
  • Experience designing, developing, implementing, and managing operational technological processes within a global organization
  • Knowledge in deploying standardized work processes, tools, and templates
  • Experience managing to project timelines and milestones in complex business environments
  • Exceptional business and digital acumen, including ERP expertise
  • Experience working in a complex, multi-ERP / system environment
  • This position may require up to 25% domestic and international travel

Preferred
  • Other advanced degree or MBA
  • Certification in areas of expertise (e.g., PMP, APICS, Lean/Six Sigma /Process Excellence, Prosci, etc.)
  • Experience with SAP ECC or S/4 HANA
  • Experience with Legacy MedTech ERP systems
  • Experience working in established framworks and methodologies to delvier key project milestones
