As an Early Career Sustainability Consultant at ERM you will be a graduate/recent graduate with a passion for the field of sustainability and environmental resources management and will be commutable to our office in Sierre. You will be looking for your first role within the Environmental Consulting industry and be ready to undertake comprehensive training, to join teams made up of industry experts and project managers, providing advisory services to clients globally.   At ERM, we take learning and development seriously. Your cohort-based learning journey will include a blend of consulting and commercial awareness, personal and professional skills and technical competence training. Alongside this you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues on group assignments and shadow consultants on live project work.   Responsibilities  Upon completion of the initial learning pathway, as an Early Careers Sustainability Consultant, you will work as part a team to achieve successful project outcomes. Your responsibilities will vary according to the projects you work on. These could include but not limited to: 
  • Attending client and internal project meetings, recording notes and distributing relevant actions 
  • Building successful, collaborative relationships with clients, ERM employees, and subcontractors 
  • Using your prior knowledge and research skills to plan and create high quality presentations, reports, and other documentation using ERM templates 
  • Presenting ideas to internal project team members 
  • Working both individually and in collaboration with others to think creatively, solve problems and generate ideas 
  • Supporting other consultants and Partners with business development related activities 
What are we looking for?Skills
  • Obtained or be studying towards a degree in one of these disciplines, (not limited to): STEM, environmental science, energy management, sustainability, ecology, geology, geography, business, economics and finance 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills 
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritise competing deadlines 
  • Previous work experience in relevant fields is advantageous – but passion and potential are prime – we are seeking potential!
