As Electrical Site Specialist, you are responsible for the supervision of electricians and trades helpers in the electrical repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical systems.

Reporting to the Field Service Resource Manager, you will instruct the electrical maintenance team utilizing predictive and preventative maintenance programs to maintain all plant operating equipment.

Your responsibilities
  • Planning and executing the detailed electrical works based on contractual requirements and the available resources at site
  • Ensuring that the electrical workforce is implementing the equipment according the documents
  • Advising electricians, mechanics, welders and helpers of installing the new electrical equipment properly
  • Identifying wrong details in the design drawings and reporting them for revision
  • Establishing priorities, evaluating electrical requirements in consultation with site manager and ABB product management/engineering teams
  • Participating in site meetings with site manager, staff, contractors and customers
  • Addressing technical queries to the site manager or to the backoffice
  • Ensuring correct priority allocation and minimizing schedule break in work
  • Contributing to development of new tools/processes to improve safety/quality and speed of site work
  • Contributing to field personnel and customer training
Your background
  • Minimum 3 years of verifiable site work experience
  • Exceptional spoken and written communication skills, supervisory skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a professional, “can-do” attitude
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • An electromechanical or electrical degree
  • Fluency in English, any other language is an asset
