Your field of responsibility


In your new role as a system engineer within our global email service and engineering/operations team you get the chance to deep-dive into a broad range of mission-critical email infrastructure ecosystems, providing sophisticated services in the field of email authentication, email hygiene (threat protection), email encryption, high-performance email routing, policy execution and more.

A major part of our work is project driven, so you will contribute to various ongoing product life cycle projects (architecture, infrastructure and application design, build/test/integrate/document/deploy, application support) as well as IT-ownership related tasks such as patching, penetration testing and DR tests.

As a team we analyze new business requirements and provide technical solutions from start to finish. To ensure operational stability, the team maintains dedicated test environments, allowing clean development and diligent testing of new releases and features. Production stability is our highest priority.

We aim for a high grade of automation, so programming skills (shell scripting, JAVA/ J2EE) or the will to acquire them would make you the perfect fit to complete our team.

Your skills and experience


You are a self-reliant IT system engineer with proven experience in building and maintaining complex infrastructure solutions for larger and mission-critical environments. The ideal candidate has:

  • 3 or more years of experience with email transport agents and the related network protocols (SMTP, LDAP, TLS/HTTPS)
  • Good understanding of cloud SaaS providers and how they can integrate with corporate networks and email systems
  • Hands-on experience in email security (DMARC, SPF, DKIM, transport encryption) and conceptual understanding of network security (DNS, firewalls, web proxy, load balancer)
  • Good Linux system administration skills, including ssh, sendmail, ldap, shell scripting
  • Fluency in English; German is a plus
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives.
