Job Responsibilities

In this role as Embedded Software Engineer you will be responsible for software design, development, and testing of communication products using established processes in a team oriented environment. You will be responsible for requirements decomposition, analysis, software architecture, implementation and testing. You are a team player who has the ability to interface with interdisciplinary teams including software, hardware, and systems architecture. You will work independently, but also have the guidance of more experienced systems and software engineering team members. Sound interesting? Keep reading!

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent
  • Experience with Linux kernel, including patching/configuring/optimizing for embedded platforms
  • Experience with C, C++, bash, make and Python / Linux shell scripts
  • Solid understanding of networking (TCP, UDP, routing, ARP) and socket programming
  • Solid understanding of the challenges of working with Embedded platforms
  • Ability to work on projects of diverse scope
  • Dedication to committed dates and project milestones
  • Advanced English language skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
Preferences
  • Some knowledge of Web technologies (javascript, HTML, CSS, REST) and/or app development
  • Knowledge of automation test benches (CUnit) and integration with CI/CD frameworks (Jenkins, Artifactory)
  • Open WRT design and development, Yocto, Petalinux
  • Experience with WiFi, 802.11. PHY, MAC, protocols and general principles
  • Hands-on development with WiFi drivers or related firmware preferred
  • Knowledge of video streaming protocols
